How do I access my financials?

You’ll have two easy ways. First, through your cloud-based bookkeeping software; we’ve partnered with Xero to give you a seamless, intuitive experience that keeps everything up to date. Second, you’ll also have access through your client portal, where you can view reports, upload receipts, and track progress 24/7. It’s bookkeeping made accessible, not overwhelming.

Will you explain things to me in plain English?

100%. We’re “not your parents’ accountants,” which means we ditch the jargon and keep things clear. You’ll always know what’s happening with your money — no decoding required.

What’s included in the “Concierge Receipt Management”?

Think of it as your receipts handled, boutique-style. We’ll collect them (in person for DFW clients), organize them, and make sure every dollar is accounted for so you don’t have to stuff them in a shoebox ever again.

Great question! Account reconciliation is just a fancy way of saying we match your bank/credit card statements to your books each month. It’s how we make sure every dollar is accounted for, nothing slips through the cracks, and your numbers are always accurate.

That’s where your Dedicated Account Lead comes in. They’re your go-to person for quick answers, check-ins, and guidance. No waiting weeks to hear back.

What’s the difference between cash and accrual bookkeeping?

Cash bookkeeping records money when it actually changes hands (when you get paid or pay a bill). Accrual bookkeeping tracks income and expenses when they happen — even if the cash hasn’t moved yet. Think of it like this: cash = simple snapshot, accrual = full story. We’ll help you pick the method that fits your business best.

I already use QuickBooks. Can I still work with FinancialsIQ?

Absolutely! While we’ve partnered with Xero to give clients a seamless cloud-based experience, we can still support you if you’re already set up in QuickBooks. You’ll continue managing your QuickBooks subscription, and we’ll handle the bookkeeping side — making sure your numbers stay polished, organized, and tax-ready.
